A note in the Girtin Archive says that these lots came from the ‘Tomkins collection’ and that they were all poor ‘copies’ (Girtin.26).

  • 119 – ‘Stranded Boats’, 10 ¼ × 14 ¼ in (26 × 36.2 cm). Bought by ‘Bowden’ for £1 13s 6d
  • 120 – ‘A Woody River Scene, with castle and cattle, sepia’, 9 ½ × 13 ¼ in (24.1 × 33.7 cm). Bought by ‘Bowden’ for £1 11s 6d
  • 121 – ‘Carnarvon Castle’. Bought by ‘Squire’ for £13 13s (TG1316)
  • 122 – ‘A Gateway, Calais’, 5 ¾ × 9 ¼ in (14.6 × 23.5 cm). Bought by ‘Thomson’ for £11 11s
