- 1464 – ‘The Le Geyt Volume, being a folio of watercolour drawings from Europe, principally Italy and Switzerland, circa 1830 onwards, most with titles and original pencil annotations, various sizes but mainly approx 15 x 24cm, reputedly from the family of Thomas Girtin (1775-1802) and to the vendor by descent’. Sold for £1,700.
1. ‘Inspruck’. Copy after TG0700 - Innsbruck: St Anna's Column on Maria-Theresien Street.
2. ‘Leghorn’. Copy after TG0674 - The Lighthouse at Livorno (Leghorn).
3. ‘Walls of Padua’. No Monro School work known. The drawing shows Haderburg Castle between Bolsano and Trent which was drawn by John Robert Cozens (1752–97) on 8 June 1782 (Bell and Girtin, 1935, no.209).
4. ‘Radicofani’. Copy after TG0639 - A Distant View of Radicofani in Tuscany.
5. ‘Mola di Gaeta’. No Monro School work is known. The pier was drawn by John Robert Cozens and his tracing of the composition (Bell and Girtin, 1935, no.99) is in the Beaumont Album in the Yale Center for British Art (B1977.14.4611).
6. ‘Convent at Valombrosa’. No Monro School work is known and neither is there a surviving sketch by John Robert Cozens. Vallombrosa Abbey is the subject of another Monro School drawing (TG0669), the work just of Thomas Girtin.
7. ‘Vico Bay Naples’. The drawing shows a castle on the coast near Salerno. No Monro School work is known and neither is there a surviving sketch by John Robert Cozens.
8. ‘Florence’. Copy after TG0672 - Florence: The Arno, with the Ponte alla Carraia.

10. ‘An ideal Italian scene’. After ‘Reinagle’ and dated 18 March 1829.
11. No title. No Monro School work is known, though Thomas Monro’s posthumous sale included ‘The lake of Albano, Nemi, and Terni 3’ (Christie’s, 2 July 1833, lot 137). Shows Lake Nemi in a popular John Robert Cozens composition (Bell and Girtin, 1935, no.114)

14. ‘The Temple of Venus in the Bay of Baia’. Copy after TG0644 - The Bridge of Augustus, near Narni. The copy is dated 23 June 1836. A second larger copy is inscribed as after ‘Turner’ by John Monro and dated 1818
15. ‘The Bridge of Augustus on the Tyber’. No Monro School work is known and neither is there a surviving sketch by John Robert Cozens. The title is clearly incorrect as it shows a castellated structure by a river in the mountains.
16. ‘Falls of Terni’. Copy after TG0992 - The Marmore Falls, near Terni
17. ‘A Sepulchre in the Road near Capua’. The sepulchre was drawn by John Robert Cozens and his tracing of the composition (Bell and Girtin, 1935, no.295) is in the Beaumont Album in the Yale Center for British Art (B1977.14.4455).
18. ‘Caserta Naples I. S.’. Copy after TG0742 - The Royal Palace at Caserta, Seen from the Road to the Vanvitelli Aqueduct.
19. ‘Vesuvius and Bay of Naples’. No Monro School work is known. The drawing shows the lighthouse, and is taken from a composition by John Robert Cozens (Bell and Girtin, 1935, no.323). Dated 1 April 1837.
20. ‘Part of Astroni from the edge of the Crater’. No Monro School work is known. The view was drawn by John Robert Cozens on 14 November 1782 (Bell and Girtin, 1935, no.316). Dated 12 June 1837.
