Victor Rienaecker (1887–1972) was an art historian who published books on John Sell Cotman (1782–1842) and William Blake (1757–1827) in 1953 and 1957. His large collection of watercolours, which numbered about ten works by or attributed to Girtin, was the subject of an article in The Studio in 1922 (Cundall, 1922).
