Sir Thomas Barlow (1845 - 1945)
Sir Thomas Barlow (1845–1945), an eminent royal physician, built up a substantial art collection. Many of his watercolours were bequeathed to his daughter, Helen Alice Dorothy Barlow (1887–1975), who in turn bequeathed them to the National Gallery of Scotland, including Ancient Ruins, with a Gothic Church (TG0882).
